Lemon is definitely an essential ingredient when it comes to cleaning. In fact it can, without a doubt, replace the most popular traditional cleaners without any worries. Discover how to make this citrus fruit your ally!

Floors

Lemon can be used to clean your floors. Just add the juice of a lemon to a bucket of warm water and you’re done. You can use this recipe on ceramic, wood, floating floor, etc. However, avoid using this recipe on marble or natural stone floors. We also recommend testing the recipe on a corner of your floor to make sure it is adequate. Once you are satisfied of the testing result, simply grab a sponge or a mop and proceed with the cleaning.

Steel

To give your steel surfaces a new and sparkling look, lemon is your best ally! This citrus fruit makes this type of surface shine, like faucets or shower palms. In addition, it also has a degreasing effect that will help you get rid of limescale. To do this, cut a lemon in half and rub it directly on the steel surface to be cleaned. Then sprinkle some baking soda on top and leave it on for about 10 minutes. Then rinse.

Glass

To clean glass, you can use lemon in two ways:

  1. First, fill a bucket with warm water and add the juice of two lemons. Then wash your surface with a microfiber cloth. Then take a cotton cloth and immediately dry the excess on the cleaned surface. An extra tip: for a stronger scent, add the zest of your lemons to the mixture as well.
  2. Fill a spray bottle with warm water and add the juice of one lemon. Spray your surface directly and use a cotton cloth to wipe it down.

Wooden furniture

Lemon is a natural remedy for wood. In fact, this citrus fruit will not only clean the surface, but will also polish your wood. To do this, mix two glasses of warm water with two glasses of lemon juice. Immerse a cloth in the mixture, wring it out and wipe all surfaces of your furniture with it. Tip: to increase the shine of your furniture, add a teaspoon of olive oil to your preparation.
