In order to have a clean environment, it is essential to go through an unpleasant activity: cleaning. Whether it’s the daily chores or a big seasonal cleaning, we sometimes make many mistakes that can be avoided and that would optimize our results. Discover our tips to help you be more efficient in your cleaning!

How to get organized?

First, start by removing dust from surfaces. Proceed from the top to the bottom to avoid moving the dust on a cleaned surface. This procedure will allow a more efficient cleaning. Once all surfaces are cleaned, they should be disinfected. Then, simply proceed with the floor, from the carpets to the floor.

Cleaning and disinfecting

There is a difference between cleaning and disinfecting! They are two complementary steps. It is therefore important to perform both steps.

  • Cleaning

Cleaning consists of removing all dirt residues, such as dust, from surfaces. This first step must be done more often than disinfecting, in order to keep our living environment clean.

  • Disinfecting

Disinfection consists in neutralizing the bacteria present in our environment. However, this step must be done from time to time, since it eliminates both good and bad bacteria. It is therefore important not to overdo it!

Furthermore, we remind you that each product has its own function. Indeed, some products clean, but do not disinfect and vice-versa. This is why you must pay attention to the labels of the products you buy in order to be efficient during this step.

The use of household products

Most of the time, we spray our cleaning product on the surface that we want to clean. This is the most common mistake for being productive in your cleaning! When we spray our product on a surface, it disperses the dirt on the surface into the air. The dirt will then fall back onto other surfaces. That’s why we recommend spraying your products directly onto your cloth. This procedure will allow a more efficient cleaning. Also, be careful not to use too much product, so as not to leave any residue on the cleaned surfaces.

The floors

When all surfaces are clean, we now move on to the floor. Start by vacuuming your carpets, rugs and floors. This will allow you to remove all the dust and dirt accumulated on your floor and in your carpets. For your carpets or rugs, take the time to unstain them using PRO-SEC products and/or consult our various tips.
